Expertise Summary
  Dr. Atanassov has over 30 years of experience in integrated pest management, much of which has been with tree fruit, and has previously worked in Russia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland. His work has concentrated on detection, monitoring and control of peach arthropod pests, evaluation of new pest management practices such as mating disruption and ground cover management, and the evaluation of beneficial orchard arthropods. His teaching and extension activities have included one-on-one teaching, presentations at grower meetings, and training undergraduates. He has been a collaborator with researchers and extension workers both in New Jersey and other states.
