Expertise Summary
  Industrial organization of the food industries - Primary focus is on the problems and issues related to food firm and industry organization and behavior, particularly relating to structure, conduct and performance. Past and current research include modeling and measurement of structure, conduct and performance of food industries and analysis of vertical coordination. Cooperatives - Interest is mainly on cooperative theory and practice. Research in this area include analysis of integration incentives for farmer-owned cooperatives, conducting market potential studies for non-agricultural businesses and cooperatives, carrying out performance analysis of farmer-owned cooperatives, and examining the role of cooperatives in agricultural and rural development. Food marketing - Focus is on issues related to the economics of FAFH and FAH markets, consumer behavior, and marketing of agricultural products in developing countries.
