  Sharon P. Blase, M.A., CFCS, is Cumberland County family and consumer sciences educator and holds the rank of associate professor at Cook College, Rutgers University. She received her master of arts degree in adult education and media from the University of Connecticut, and a bachelor of science degree in home economics from the New York State College of Human Ecology, Cornell University. She has provided Extension classes on a countywide basis and presentations at the state, national, and international level for professional associations and organizations since 1967. Her programs for limited resource audiences in nutrition, home-buying, finances, caregiver training, and volunteer development have received thirty-one awards. Her programs for extension audiences in nutrition, health and financial education, home-buying,caregiver support training, and volunteer development have received thirty-one awards.
