| Expertise Summary |
| The general objective for the continuation of the project remains to monitor all aspects of food quality and develop improvements for products distributed in New Jersey. The scope of the project involves evaluation of pre-bid samples from food manufacturers, examination of complaint samples from recipients, and special product audits. Newer activities include helping New Jersey manufacturers to meet quality standards related to USDA School Meals initiative for healthy children. A new aspect of the proram will be our participation in USDA/NJDA Chicken Pilot Project as part of USDA re-invention plan for National Food Distribution. |
